Gyro stabilization technology company, Smartgyro, is delighted to announce its integration with one of Mack Boring & Parts Co.'s latest high performance demo boats. The vessel, Mack Attack, is a Viking 48 Convertible powered by leading engine manufacturer Scania's twin 16L 1,150 HP V8 engines and is designed to deliver the ultimate in performance and reliability for competitive anglers.

The Smartgyro SG40 was selected for the 48' vessel which will be taking part in offshore sportfishing tournaments as well as other leisure pursuits on the water. Mack Boring's specification for Mack Attack which is one of Viking's most popular models, required the highest standards to facilitate optimum capabilities for competitive fishing. Marine stabilization has become an absolute necessity in gaining a true competitive edge and providing safe, top-level performance for anglers. Cutting edge marine technology is increasingly used to gain this competitive advantage and a vessel's systems need to work in unison to maximize its potential.

"Competitive fishing in tournaments along the East Coast requires the boat and crew to operate in some tough sea conditions. Being able to fish all day in these conditions with a stabilizer such as the Smartgyro SG40 allows me and my crew to come back to the dock after a long day without the exhaustion you feel without a stabilizer. It really does make each trip much more enjoyable and makes it much easier to go back out there the next day on back to back trips." said Patrick McGovern, President of Mack Boring.

Smartgyro's unique modular design also met Mack Boring's expectations around the functionality of the vessel, meaning that any required maintenance could take place on-board without having to take the vessel out of the water.

There were several other key features that Mack Boring were confident the SG40 could fulfil: "The key advantages we're excited about are the fast spool time, the renewable vacuum technology complete with an onboard vacuum pump, as well as the easy maintenance." concluded Scott DuBrow of Mack Boring Parts & Co.

The seamless SG40 installation process was navigated by the team at Viking Yacht Company in New Gretna, NJ and is the first Smartgyro installation for the company, who were guided and assisted by MACK Boring's Customer Support team during the install.

The new gyro has recently been tested with excellent results and the SG40's capabilities will soon be documented through video footage displaying the performance of the unit.

Following a successful delivery to its home port in Brielle, NJ, Mack Attack has an exciting calendar of summer events planned and will travel the East Coast to take part in several events.
