This new weather app claims to be able to provide better highly-localised forecasts as it combines data from four weather models in one app. It updates several times a day into a user-friendly yet customisable format and also sends out daily and weekly email updates.
The app's algorithm, developed by data scientists from the University of Melbourne, takes into account a range of weather factors, including temperature, cloud cover, wind and Delta T and overlays it with other data including location and historical records, to create a precise and personalised forecast based on what the user wants to know.
As the report formats are easily customised by the user, recreational anglers should find it extremely useful.
There's a free trial period, and after that a choice of four levels of service ranging from a free 'Essentials' service, and then three paid packages that offer varying amounts of outlook days, history, weather variables, warnings, number of users, number of customised locations, alerts, etc. Pricing of these ranges from $10 a month to $99 a month.
Freshwater Fisher has been using the trial package for a couple of weeks and have found it to be very accurate, and the daily forecast and update formats very detailed, clear and quick to read.
