Last weekend, the Club Nautique Morgien hosted ten women's teams in the quaint, storybook-like town of Morges on the famous Lake Geneva.
The teams enjoyed nine races over the two-day regatta sailed in the "sailing league" format of short, quick races.
In the end, it was the host club team- Club Nautique Morgien- that nearly ran the table with straight bullets. Led by skipper Manon Kivell (with crew of Noemie Fehlman, Fiona Testuz, and Ella Dorries), the team scored six 1sts and three 2nds to win with 12 pts. Taking the silver medal was the top women's team from Zurich that normally sailed on Lake Zurich. Led by skipper Amrei Keller (crew of Margaret McMahon, Theresa Lagler, Maren Brehme, and Zoe Straub) the Zurcher Segel Club also won five races, but had a few mistakes to end with 16 pts. Then, rounding out the podium on the third step was Thunersee Yacht Club led by skipper Sophie Mosegaard; her crew was Isabel Caflisch, Linda Lengacher, Rahel Pfister, and Fiona Scharer.
