The Cape 31 fleet descended on COYCH in Hyères over the weekend following weeks of Olympic Class Regattas. Local team and circuit leaders, Give Me Five, took their third win of the season, with Black Battalion in second and Pascal Feryn's Solano taking third for the third time.

Organized by the Cape 31 Class and COYCH, the regatta was the final event in the Côte d'Azur before the class heads to Italy for the final three events of the year. With its stunning coastal backdrop, five-star racecourse, and beautiful port, Hyères provided the perfect setting for the event.

Over the course of the weekend, Race Officer Juan Diaz and his race team managed a full program of nine great races. The conditions varied across the three days, from very light winds to 20 knots, presenting a real challenge for the teams.

The results really show how close the racing was, with every team in the regatta making it to the podium more than once. Essentia, Shotgunn, Give Me Five, and Black Battalion shared the nine bullets between them. It was great to see the new team MeerBlick up there in some races during their first one-design regatta since commissioning their boat in Palma a few weeks ago.

In addition to the thrilling races, attendees enjoyed the hospitality of the COYCH, including drinks, aperitifs, and opportunities to mingle with fellow competitors.

After a last place, fourth place and second on Day one, Give Me Five came back with 5/6 race wins on Saturday and Sunday, taking the regatta overall. Black Battalion were second and Pascal Feryn's Solano rounded off the podium in third. Two Corinthian teams on the podium!

"We were thrilled to welcome sailors to Hyères for Round Four of the Med Circuit," said Tor Tomlinson Cheney, Class Manager/Event Coordinator. "This event marked the end of our time in the South of France this season. The racing has been world-class, and we look forward to coming back next year. Thank you as always to our International Class Partners, Doyle Sails and Quantum Sails, for their ongoing support. It really helps us to continue to provide the circuits worldwide."

The next event will be in Imperia, Italy, hosted by Porto Maurizio Yacht Club from the 14th-16th June.
