There's been confusion of late in St. Martin as the port authority are now enforcing port clearance and cruisers aren't sure what they have to do. The information on Noonsite has been updated.

The recent enforcement of Port Clearance by the St Martin Port Authority has left cruisers unsure of procedures. Most are unaware that visiting yachts are required to check-in with both Customs and Port Authority in St Martin. With the introduction of a patrol vessel, the Port Authority is now equipped to enforce port clearance and is ensuring compliance by visiting yachts.

You can familiarise yourself with the requirements by visiting Noonsite or by perusing the Port of Saint Martin web page.
