Shellfish biotoxin alert for Waiheke Island

New Zealand Food Safety is advising the public not to collect or consume shellfish gathered from Blackpool and Surfdale beaches on Waiheke Island due to the possible presence of biotoxins.

Other warnings remain in place for Northland, Kawhia, East Cape to Hawke's Bay, and the inner Queen Charlotte Sound.
