Harris Boats, a leading luxury pontoon manufacturer, has announced the launch of its new pontoon platform technology - RPM Technology - developed to enhance Ride, Performance and Maneuverability across Harris' lineup. This innovation marks a bold step forward for pontoons and enabling the Harris fleet to provide faster acceleration, higher top speed, decreased vibration, enhanced handling and control, added strength and stability, and optimized manufacturing efficiency when tested against top competitors.

"We are always looking for new ways to elevate our customers on-water experience, and after extensive testing, we feel confident the RPM Technology delivers on this goal," said Brian Athmer, President, Harris Boats. "This project is two years in the making and involved significant collaboration between our naval architects and design engineers, as well as the noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) team. Not only will our customers immediately feel the difference, but the improvements streamlined operational efficiency and were coupled with enhanced factory automation."

Historically, Harris pontoons have been built on multiple different chassis with multiple tube options and configurations. The launch of the new RPM Technology greatly simplifies the production process, but most importantly boosts on-water performance, stability, and control.

Specific enhancements customers can expect are:

  • 35% less vibration at helm
  • 5-10% higher top speed compared to previous models
  • 10% faster acceleration in 0-30MPH time
  • 10% more fuel efficiency*
  • More speed under load; holding an additional 53% more speed under max load
The RPM Technology platform underwent extensive testing to validate the improvements, and far surpassed any other testing Harris has performed previously.

Harris' model year 2024 lineup will come standard with the new RPM Technology and will be available across its dealer network. To learn more about Harris' RPM Technology, visit www.harrisboats.com/craftsmanship.
