Dangerous fishing conditions update © RFA of NSW
Why
Southeast to southwesterly winds on the NSW coast will gradually tend northeasterly by Tuesday or Wednesday as a high pressure system, currently south of Adelaide, slowly drifts east.
Where
On Tuesday from the Hunter down to Eden, there will be seas of 1 metre and southerly swells of 1.5 to 2 metres.
On Wednesday, from the Byron coast all the way down to Batemans waters, there will be seas of 1 metre and southerly swells of 1.5 to 2 metres.
Swell period
The time between swells will vary greatly - as little as 8 seconds early Tuesday but up to 16 seconds at times on Wednesday.
Warning
Even though wave and swell heights seem small, BOM is warning that conditions will be dangerous for rock fishing and crossing bars.
