The National Class E Scow Association (NCESA) is approaching mid-season for the 100 year anniversary. There has been so far a full schedule of celebration events and regattas going on across the country.
From Charleston, SC, to Lake Geneva, WI, to Toms River and Lake Hopatcong in New Jersey, to the snow capped peaks of Grand Lake, CO to Lake Wawasee, IN and a host of locations beyond - teams are enjoying regattas and local fleet racing. Across the country this year, more than most, we come together to celebrate the amazing E.
The culmination of these celebrations is the E Scow National Championship, held this year in Madison, Wisconsin on Lake Mendota. The hosting Mendota Yacht Club is planning upwards of 100 boats on the starting line for this year's Centennial event. So far, 68 teams have registered and committed to racing and celebrating over the 4 days from September 7-10, so it appears well on the way to achieving the ambitious turnout goal. The E scow class continues sailing along triumphantly with the support of world class sailors and volunteers, collaborating and contributing to keep the Class spirit alive and well into its next Century.
