One of the largest sailing regattas on Lake Erie, Cleveland Race Week was hosted last weekend by Edgewater Yacht Club. Sailing this year are J/70 and J/105 classes.

In the J/70 class of seven boats, it was David Kerr's USA 1516 that walked off with class honors with straight bullets, tossing a 1st place for a total of 6 pts in seven races. Taking the silver was Tod Sackett's USA 131 with three 2nds, and four 3rds for a total of 15 pts net. Rounding out the podium was Seth Young's TOOTING SEAL with mostly 3rds and 4ths in their scoreline for a total of 19 pts net.

The J/105 class of seven boats saw incredibly tight racing for the three steps on the podium. Winning with a 2-2-1 tally for 5 pts was Chip Schaffner's FALL LINE for the host Edgewater YC. Second went to the Trio Brothers on their mighty fine yacht TRIO with a 3-1-2 tally for 6 pts. Then, just one point back taking the bronze medal was the Hickman/ Kjoller duo on KASHMIR with a 1-3-3 record for 7 pts. Fun was had by all in this trio of passionate J/105 sailors.
