Barz Optics have signed four new distributors around the world since METS Marine Industry Trade Show last November.

The UK Peter Alexander: - owner of Orca Bay marine footwear and his distribution company Shoreline International will now distribute Barz Optics throughout the UK with the assistance of Martin Humby and his Sailforce sales representative team.

Sailforce will service the UK, Marine, Sailing, Kayak, Kite, Fishing, Windsurf and Surfing Markets with Barz Optics diverse range of polarised, polarised bi focal, polarised photochromic and their unique award winning polarised photochromic with readers.

Barz also produce seven different frames that float - (air cells are moulded within the temples and nose piece giving the glasses positive buoyancy in both fresh and salt water. Further information from Martin on 07813 643954 or at www.sale-force.com

New Zealand: Steve and Gaylene Parker have just purchased both Barz Optics and their sister company BZ Optics distribution rights to New Zealand from Gayle and Raymond Austen. They will trade under Barz Optics NZ. They initially introduced the both new ranges at the Hutchwilco Boat Show in Auckland.

Finland: Tommi Muurila - owner of Nettitiikeri Oy (A company specializing in Electric outboards) Will distribute both Barz and BZ throughout Finland.

India: Anjanai international Marine Sports are now representing both brands into the marine sports industries.

The four new companies add to our representation around the world in Spain, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Japan, Canada, Croatia, Kirabati, The Phillipines, The UAE, Thailand, Israel and Denmark.

Both companies are in negotiations with possible distributors in Switzerland, Malta, Egypt, South Africa, Algeria, Slovakia, Greece and Italy. While the USA and South America elude us.

BZ Optics have only just entered the marine industry after their success in the cycling market. BZ specialise in lightweight sports frames fitted with photochromic lensed (with and without readers) But at METS they introduced the lightweight frame fitted with polarised lenses with and without readers. Later this year they will expand the range to include High Definition photochromic polarised lenses with and without readers.

Polarised photochromic lenses are Cat1 in low light (about 15% dark) and once exposed to sunlight and UV they darken to Cat3 (around 75% dark) while the polarisation cuts down on reflected glare.
