The Team Australia Challenge is looking for all Youth and Women sailors to apply to be a part of the 2024 America’s Cup.

Sailing on the One Design AC40s (as they will be by then), this will be a huge opportunity to prove to the world why Australia is always ranked so highly in just about every aspect of our sport.

In 2012, John Bertrand AO was the Chairman of Selectors for the London Olympics. He reprises that role once more to be looking for the best we can provide to mount a serious challenge for these prestigious championships.

“I am thrilled to have a hands on role with the Team Australia Challenge. This new era of racing is fast and energetic. Just like the very sailors we are looking for. We are going to begin training on the simulator this July, and continue all the way up to actually getting on board in 2024”, said Bertrand.

What’s not to like? Quick, foiling, wind-powered monos, and green, Hydrogen powered chase boats. WooHooooooo! Want more? Try this lot on. Inaugural Women’s and then the third Youth (under 25 as at September 19, 2024) AC - be a part of history.

Also, 12 nations including Australia. Who get’s the silverware out of us, Germany, Sweden, New Zealand, Great Britain, Italy, Switzerland, the USA, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and Canada?

If you have ever thought about joining our many heroes, present and past, then this is the time to make your dreams a reality. "One Design and stored power means this will be the ideal, level playing field where the best sailors will shine through.”

You can read more about the Team Australia Challenge and also the whole thing here - but more importantly, go and apply right now! Applications due to close May 31, 2023.
