The sailing continued for the third sunny day at the Royal Varuna Yacht Club for the 2023 ILCA 7 Masters World Championships. The strong current and winds of 6-12 knots with considerable shifts were major influencing factors in today's racing.

While the majority of sailors completed two races, the fleet of Grand Masters had to abandon the second race and will be rescheduled for race 6 on the day after tomorrow. There will be no racing tomorrow as sailors will enjoy a much-needed rest day.

Among the sailors relaxing on the verandah with fellow competitors, Great Grand Master Stephen Gunther from Australia mentioned, "Sailing today was fantastic! We had breeze, which was great. We had great waves, it was fanstastic...and what's more it wasn't a one-sided track. It was really quite switchy."

First in the Apprentice division is still Thai Olympian Keerati Bualong, who finished first twice again today. Similarly, Greek Olympian Adonis Bougiouris continued his first-place streak atop the leaderbord in the Masters Fleet. The Grand Masters fleet, which has the most competitors in this event, had Australian Brett Beyer winning the only race of the day. In the Great Grand Master fleet, Tim Law from Great Britain handily won both races again today.

Principal sponsor Idemitsu is a long-term partner to the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, its contribution part of its impressive CSR program. The Singha Corporation joins as co-sponsor, continuing a long-standing relationship that stretches back to the 1970s. Supporting sponsors include Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, Coca-Cola, Element Six Evolution, The Pizza Company, Bonchon, and UF.

Organizing partners are the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand and the ILCA. Strategic partners include Pattaya City, the Sports Authority of Thailand, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
