Competition heating up at 2023 Australian Etchells Championship

by Harry Fisher 10 Jan 2023 23:59 UTC 7-12 January 2023

Four of Australia's most recognisable names in sailing are all within striking distance ahead of the final two days of the Australian Etchells Championship in Adelaide.

Peter Merrington's First Tracks holds a two-point lead to John Bertrand's Triad2020, with Chris Hampton's Tango and Martin Hill's Lisa Rose six and eight points behind the lead respectively.

The conditions have provided a bit of everything, with some more moderate conditions early each day, which has been followed by wavy and breezy conditions that you'd expect in Adelaide's Gulf St Vincent.

Two more days of racing are scheduled on 11 and 12 January to close out the championship.

Event media has been made possible thanks to the support of HillPDA Consulting.

More information and full results can be found on the event website.
