Earlier this week we were delighted to take delivery of a Contender 39 Fisharound from Port Kembla. From there we ran 50NM up the coast to Clontarf Marina where we will be fitting out the boat prior to client delivery.
At Port Kembla the high-quality tower was easily installed. This tower offers awesome visibility when navigating shallow channels and spotting fish, whilst the buggy above provides shade for the controls and operator. The tower also comes in very handy when berthing as it has a full set of second controls including a Simrad 12" MFD and Optimus 360 Joystick.
The Contender 39 Fisharound blends the fishability of a centre console with the convenience of a cabin boat. The deck is open and spacious, maintaining the 360-degree fishability of a centre console whilst also offering the comfort of a small cabin in the console complete with a bed for two people, induction cooktop, fridge/freezer, microwave, sink, television, marine toilet, and shower.
A draw card for families is the large lounge in front of the console. For those interested, this boat has a 240V system with a 3kW inverter and we are now installing all the electronics including a JL Audio sound system.
