The United States Coast Guard (USCG) and American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) have announced a date and registration for the next free online USCG/ABYC Risk Mitigation Series. The third webinar of the series will be "Defect Notification and Product Recalls" held November 9th from 2-4 p.m. EST.

Recreational boating industry stakeholders and marine exporters, or those who are looking to export, are invited to participate at Discover Global Markets' forum, "The Blue Economy" taking place this year in Rhode Island, from September 20-22. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from a host of speakers and U.S. Government Trade Experts.

Raymarine and Groupe Beneteau have recently announced a partnership to supply Raymarine award-winning Axiom chartplotters and navigation equipment to the BENETEAU Oceanis range of sailing yachts. The American Sportfishing Association joined a coalition of fishing and boating organizations in submitting comments to the National Marine Fisheries Service regarding proposed North Atlantic Right Whale vessel speed regulations. The proposal would create a massive speed restriction zone from Massachusetts to north Florida for all vessels 35' or greater for approximately half the year.
