Supported by the latest round of funding provided by the National Fish Habitat Partnership (NFHP) a total of $53.2 million is being provided to 78 fish habitat conservation sites in 37 states.
ASA has long been a supporter of NFHP and ASA's Vice President of Government Affairs, Mike Leonard, serves on the Board. NFHP works to conserve fish habitat nationwide and since 2006 has supported 1,200 projects in all 50 states.
The $5.4 million provided by NFHP in 2022 is being matched 9 to 1 by partner funding, all to support community-led projects, such as stream bank restoration and barrier removal for fish passage.
