On Monday, on the Byron coast all the way down to Batemans coast, seas will be around 1 metre plus swells of 1.5 to 2 metres. Swell direction in south will be southerly, but from Macquarie north swells will be mixed with north easterly as well as southerly.
On Tuesday, on the Byron coast down to the Illawarra, seas will be 1 metres (1.5 around Byron) plus swells of 1.5 to 2 metres, a mix of southerly plus north easterly.
Although and swell heights don't look too extreme, for those locations, on those days, BOM is warning that large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing.
