Apologies for any inconvenience we will be closed on Monday the 25th of April for ANZAC Day.

Saltwater

Bream
Good numbers of Bream have been caught above the Bridgewater Bridge with some healthy 35cm+ fish in amongst smaller models. The Huon River has also been producing good fish around Castle Forbes Bay.

Tuna
Tuna are biting pretty much everywhere at the moment, particularly in Storm Bay and up the East Coast with Bluefin, Albacore and Striped Tuna reported to have been caught over the last week. A very good affordable lure to use has been the Hawk 'Big Game Vibe', both Albacore and Bluefin love this lure.

The Tuna Club of Tasmania will be running the 29th Australian Bluefin Championships on the 23rd and 24th of April. Good luck to all participating this weekend, may the Tuna gods be kind!

Australian Salmon
Good numbers of Salmon are reported to have been caught over the last week in all the usual spots.

Snapper
Anglers putting in the time have been rewarded over the last week with good sized and quality of fish being caught early of a morning to a good burly trail.

Calamari
The East Coast has really started to produce fantastic sized squid over the last week. The bays around Southern Maria have been the standout.

Mackerel
The Mackerel haven't stopped over the last few months and don't appear to be going anywhere any time soon.

Swordfish
A couple of anglers have managed to hook and land good Swordfish over the last week, let's hope this continues as we get more settled weather.

Freshwater

Woods Lake
Has been fishing quite well to both trolling and drift-spinning anglers. The Trout have been healthy and eager to feed on a Hawk Sniper 'Killer Wasp'.

Tooms Lake
Anglers have reported some very nice fish in the shallows chasing Galaxiids, a good match is any lure in a ghost perch pattern. One angler managing to catch a 5-pound Brown Trout on this pattern.

Brady's Chain
These lakes have started to fish well for the trolling anglers over the last week using cobra lures in bronze and red colours.

Derwent River
Anglers chasing Bream have managed to come across a few healthy Brown Trout. This time of year, normally sees good numbers from Bridgewater Bridge upstream.

Lake Pedder
This weekend 23rd and 24th of April holds the STLAA interclub Challenge we wish all clubs and fishers best of luck.
