This Thursday: Q&A Live Call with Glenn Ashby, Olympic medallist and winning America's Cup skipper, on Successful Strategy and Speed Records

Glenn Ashby is a man going places fast. Currently the Australian is chasing the Wind Powered Land Speed World Record, an interesting diversion for him and his team mates at Emirates Team New Zealand in the downtime between America's Cup campaigns.

Glenn's achievements are immense. Here's a few of them:

  • 3 x America's Cup winner
  • Olympic silver medal in the Tornado
  • GC32 World Champion
  • 3 x Tornado World Champion
  • 3 x Formula 18 World Champion
  • 10 x A-Class Cat World Champion

Glenn is one of a few non-Kiwis to be appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to sailing.

Speed has always been the thing that has driven Glenn to new challenges, on yachts, motorbikes, and now land yachts. Glenn Ashby is spearheading a new attempt to beat the Wind Powered Land Speed World Record.

Find out more about the project in this video...

We'll be asking Glenn about the record attempt, how it relates back to the sailing world, and his insights into the vital topic of Race Strategy. Here are some of the topics on Strategy that we'll be looking at this session with Glenn:
