Sail-World was on the water for Day 2 of the Oceanbridge NZL Sailing Regatta, which is contested by the Olympic and Youth classes. Several new combinations are having their first serious regatta as they look ahead to PARIS2024.

Others like the iQFoil windsurfer, a new class for 2024, replacing the RS:X, are having their first Olympic work-up.

The series is also a selection trial for the 2022 Youth Worlds in July 2022 at The Hague, Netherlands.

The most important aspect of the regatta is that it is taking place at all given the raft of COVID restrictions imposed in New Zealand, which have made it impossible for most sporting events to continue.

Unlike the first day of the regatta, on Day 2 the event was blessed with a beautiful seabreeze and bright sunshine.
