BOM's warning for dangerous conditions have been extended by a day.
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Seth, currently 400 km off the far north coast is bringing large and powerful waves, hazardous surf conditions and strong to gale force winds over northern coastal waters. Winds and surf conditions should gradually ease from later part of Tuesday through Wednesday as the system slowly heads northwest towards Queensland coast and weakens through the week.
On Tuesday BOM is still warning of dangerous conditions for rockfishing and boating from Byron down to Illawarra coasts, with seas of 4 metres in the north, down to just 1 metres on the Illawarra, but swells of 2.5 to 3 metres for all coasts - easterly and southerly in the north, easterly and north easterly further south.
