NSW Research Angler Program offering free mulloway lures in exchange for ear bones

If you enjoy targeting and catching mulloway, NSW DPI Fisheries needs your help. The NSW Research Angler Program (RAP) is looking for keen mulloway fishos to gather important biological info about this popular species.
This is how it works: if you decide to keep a legal-size mulloway of 70 cm and above, the RAP encourages you to not only enjoy that meal of fresh fish but to maximise the worth and value of that fish by donating its frame to the RAP.
It's simple and easy to get involved. All you need to do is check out the info for the location of your nearest drop-off location. They look after the rest. As a bonus, for each frame you donate, they send you a custom Halco RMG Scorpion!
The frame from your mulloway will be used by researchers to extract important age data from the fish's otoliths (ear bones). And they let you know how old your fish was!
The RAP program is funded by the NSW Recreational Fishing Trusts.
