World renowned powerboat designer Adam Younger and crew Amy Rickards took 1st place in the 93.70nm offshore powerboat race from Cowes IOW to Poole and back last weekend. Adams new Northstar RIB's UK powerboat features 2 SHOCK-WBV C series suspension mechanisms manufactured by Sea Sure Ltd in Southampton UK.

"The SHOCK-WBV suspension seats worked really well and I'm sure I would be feeling a lot worse today if it was back to the old days of being in floor mounted seats!" commented Adam Younger.

SHOCK-WBV also took the second spot on the podium onboard Lee Ornsby's "Top Banana", crewed by Ross Macgreggor. "The performance, quality and product support is second to none, we simply couldn't do it without them" said Lee Ornsby.

"Lee was one of the first offshore powerboat racers to get in contact with us to see if we could help reduce the shock and vibration caused by repeated large wave impacts whilst racing." says Graham Brown Managing Director at SHOCK-WBV Ltd & Sea Sure Ltd. "It has been great to work with Lee & Ross over the last 4 years, the feedback on the set up and performance ha been invaluable to the success of the SHOCK-WBV range".

"5 years ago, we set out to improve the ride comfort onboard my Beneteau Merry Fisher 625, and now our units are onboard boats that are winning offshore powerboat races. We are all incredibly proud of where we have come in such a short period, it's a testament to our design team and the hundreds of hours spent testing the products."

All SHOCK-WBV Ltd products are manufactured in Southampton UK by Sea Sure Ltd. The 3 mechanical suspension units in the range all use shock absorbers manufactured by world leaders FOX factory to reduce shock and vibration caused by repeated wave impacts. The C, P & R series units all use the same race winning geometry and materials but differ in size to suit different seating types, from jockey seats to large commercial chairs.
