Bayliss Boatworks construction update: Bayliss 72' Old Reliable
by Bayliss Boatworks 3 Apr 2021 18:10 UTC
Old Reliable (Bayliss 72') is on the move from the make-ready bay to the paint bay after a busy month, getting more interior and exterior details finalized.
On the exterior, final rounds of color-guided sanding were completed before her helm pod, toe rail and half round were completed in faux teak. In the cockpit, Old Reliable's natural teak coverboards were installed. Before she moved to the paint bay, our mechanical crew also installed her prop shafts.
Entering the interior, installations continued with the addition of windows, the dinette and salon bar cabinetry; really bringing the space to life. Just past the dinette, the dayhead cabinetry and access panel have been mocked up before final installation. In the lower level, the master and captain's bunks have been installed, along with shower doors and select plumbing fixtures.
Over the next few weeks, Old Reliable will have full paint completed and we are anticipating the installation of her tower.
