Because they're regularly used as a step or a place to sit, it's a good idea to keep gunwales as free of obstructions as possible. The space-saving Accon Marine Cleat/Rod Holder Combo does just that. Eliminating the need for two separate installations, it's a flush-mounted rod holder with an integrated 152mm pull-up cleat that's both convenient and snag-free. Plus, it retains the clean lines of the boat's sheer.
The Cleat/Rod Holder Combo is available in three versions to hold rods at 0 degrees, 15 degrees and 30 degrees angles. Crafted from polished 316 marine-grade stainless steel, it's exceptionally strong. Independent testing verifies this product can withstand loads of up 4,989kg.
Designed to fit on a wide range of gunwales, the Accon 6" Cleat/Rod Holder Combo measures 192mm L x 95mm W x 213mm D. A barbed fitting on the bottom allows a drain tube to be added for enclosed installations. This makes it ideal for use on everything from a bowrider to a hardcore offshore fishing platform.
Installing the Cleat/Rod Holder Combo is a simple DIY project using common household tools and four 1/4" stainless screws with nylon lock nuts. The supplied backing plate is used as a template.
