Leading aluminium RIB and tender manufacturer Highfield Boats has further expanded its global territory by appointing a distributor for South Africa. Knysna Yamaha, based in Knysna, Western Cape, will become the country's representative for Highfield's range of boats, from quality tenders of less than 3m to 8m ocean-going professional support RIBs.

Knysa Yahama, led by Gary MacKenzie, has enjoyed a successful track record spanning more than 30 years as a leading engine and boat maintenance specialist. At the same time the company is a sales and service agent for a number of leading boat brands and the Highfield Boats range is to join this portfolio. "Knysna Yamaha is excited and proud to become the newest distributor for the range of Highfield Inflatables," comments MacKenzie. "We look forward to working with the Highfield team and growing the brand in South Africa. With our first shipment already landed and having had the opportunity to water test a couple of the inflatables we have no doubt Highfield will be a massive success in South Africa."

The range of recyclable aluminium RIBs manufactured by Highfield Boats already has a strong reputation around the world for providing the ultimate in strength, reliability and performance.

Julien Carussi is Managing Director of Highfield Boats. "We are delighted to tap the South Africa market," he comments. "With Knysna Yamaha on board we are very enthusiastic about having an experienced professional and motivated team to represent the brand." He adds "We are confident that the quality of our boats combined with the energy of Knysna Yamaha will enable us to rapidly grow our business in South Africa."

According to Carussi, the Highfield range of RIBs and tenders has already been very well received in the country. A first stock delivery has arrived at Knysa Yamaha's showroom with a second consignment on order.

Multiple features and attention to detail are the design ethos of the smallest easy-to-store tenders, right through the larger family day boat sizes to the ocean-handling RIBs and ultra-rugged patrol boats.

Knysa Yamaha joins Highfield Boats' worldwide distributor network stretching through 45 countries, creating a high level of reassurance for customers combined with the key attributes of quality and safety that characterise the range.
