The Melbourne Whittley Cruiser Club along with the Whittley Marine Group, are pleased to announce the 2020 National Whittley Regatta, to be held on Port Phillip Bay and surrounding waterways in the Melbourne area on the 27th February - 1st March 2020.

The four-day Regatta event travels nationally every second year, bringing together Whittley boat owners from across the country. This year's event will be based at the Melbourne City Marina in the heart of the city. The top of Port Phillip Bay and its twin rivers provide the perfect environment for the event to be held. Cruise trips are planned down the Yarra River to iconic Melbourne boating locations, including the beaches of St Kilda, Black Rock and the historic port of Williamstown.

Cruise up the Yarra River to where you can obtain a unique view of the magnificent Melbourne skyline from the water line, and then up the Maribyrnong River past the famous Flemington Race course for morning tea at Edgewater lagoon, then on to the cliffs of the Maribyrnong River where the city skyline disappears from view. But it doesn't stop there....another cruise will take you along the north western side of Port Phillip Bay past the beaches of Williamstown, the industrial area of Altona and Point Cook, and then to Werribee South to the Open Range Zoo.

Post Regatta, the Whittley Family are offering private factory tours through Whittley Marine Group's boat building and sales facility in Somerton. This provides the opportunity for Whittley owners to see how every new Whittley is built, showcasing the unique relationship that the Whittley Company enjoys with all of its owners.

Melbourne Whittley Cruiser Club Commodore, Gary Honeychurch, had this to say about the 2020 Regatta. "I am looking forward to this memorable weekend which the Club's organising committee have been planning for months. Numbers are limited; Whittley owners need to compete a registration form via the link below online."

Neville Whittley, Managing Director at the Whittley Marine Group, had this to say about the upcoming event, "I encourage all Whittley boat owners looking to explore Melbourne to come along to this year's Regatta. I would like to thank the committee for their efforts in putting on this unique event for Whittley owners to enjoy. It gives me great joy seeing people enjoy their Whittley boats."

The 2020 National Whittley Regatta, in Melbourne, promises to be a must attend event for all Whittley owners. With all new Whittley Boats being legally trailerable with a suitable vehicle and under the legal towing width of 2.5 meters, the Regatta will showcase the trailerable nature of owning a Whittley boat and the Whittley boating lifestyle.
