The organisers of the Jersey Regatta are delighted to announce an association with leading offshore law firm Carey Olsen that will see the Island's 'flagship' sailing event carrying the company's name over the next three years.

In thanking Carey Olsen for its support, Regatta chairman Bill Harris welcomed the firm on board and said that this was an exciting development for the sailing community that would reinforce the Regatta's established profile both on and off the Island. In picking up the baton, Carey Olsen is joining a distinguished line-up of companies that have provided outstanding support to the Regatta since 1999 when the Royal Channel Islands YC, St Helier YC and St Catherine's SC joined forces to produce the very first combined clubs' Jersey Regatta.

Carey Olsen managing partner Alex Ohlsson said: 'We are delighted to sponsor the Jersey Regatta for the next three years. The event is the largest in the Jersey sailing calendar and offers three days of great racing across a number of different classes. The Regatta's success over the past twenty-one years is testament to the hard work and dedication of the Committee and volunteers from the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club, St Helier Yacht Club and St Catherine's Sailing Club without whom the event would not be possible. As new Regatta sponsors, we look forward to supporting them in the years to come and see the event go from strength to strength'.

Scheduled to run from 11th to 13th September 2020, the Carey Olsen Jersey Regatta is open to all-comers and will, as ever, be held in the beautiful natural arena of St Aubin's Bay and, in the case of the cruiser classes, the Island's coastal waters. As ever, a full programme afloat will provide keen but, assuredly, friendly competition in the cruiser, sports boat, day boat, sport catamaran, dinghy and windsurfer classes, all coupled with a lively après-sail programme ashore. The Regatta is the major mixed fleet highlight in the sailing calendar and will, undoubtedly, draw the Island's sailing community out in force to pit their wits and skills against their local rivals and visiting boats joining from the Channel Islands, France and the UK.
