Today we announce a change in leadership as Wayne Taranto is appointed CEO of d'Albora.
This appointment follows the departure of Suzanne Davies as outgoing CEO and heralds the beginning of the second stage of d'Albora's transition into a world class marina and leisure operator.
The recent acquisition of three new marina properties (Horizon Shores, Port of Airlie and Martha Cove) brings the d'Albora stable to 10 marinas across the eastern seaboard. Wayne's 25 years' experience in high end hospitality and entertainment management will take Australia's largest marina operator to the next level of service offering and continue the drive towards realizing the group's ambition of providing a distinctive and exceptional customer experience.
Over the past twelve months d'Albora has launched new quality food and beverage offerings at a number of its marinas, opened boatyards in three key locations, introduced a brokerage and dealership business division as well as making significant investment in upgrading its marina management business systems.
"These achievements provide Taranto a solid foundation from which he can realise further potential from the current offer and develop new exciting services for a broad spectrum of patrons, from boat owners to pleasure-seeking passers-by, making the d'Albora brand a clear choice for those seeking five star personalised service across various marina-based activities and experiences." said Andrew Griffin, Balmain CEO, owner of d'Albora.
Taranto says he is eager to immerse himself into the role, "Already well established, d'Albora has all the elements needed to become the premier brand in the industry. The synergies between high-end hospitality and boating are significant and with the breadth of locations we are assured of being able to provide all customers with the marina experience and services they are seeking."
Following the recent expansion d'Albora now comprises of over 2,000 marina berths, 1,000 plus dry berths including state-of-the-art dry storage at Martha Cove, shipyards at soon to be six locations, a number of unique dining experiences and over 150 third party services.
Taranto will take the helm early August.
