Bassenthwaite Sailing Club's ONE Bass week will be held from 3rd 11th August on one of Cumbria's largest bodies of water, Bassenthwaite Lake.

4 miles in length and ¾ mile wide, Bassenthwaite Lake is one of the Lake Districts areas of outstanding natural beauty. From club sailors to world champions, for decades Bass Week has attracted visitors from all over the country, renowned for competitive racing on the water, a fantastic social programme for all the family, stunning scenery of the fells and the best view of Skiddaw mountain. Camping on site makes inclusive entry exceptional value, with 9 days sailing and 9 nights camping only £186 for two people sailing a doublehander!

2019 will be the fifth year the sailing club will partner with The Lakes Distillery. With both the Sailing Club and The Lakes Distillery using the water from the lake for very important respective parts of their pursuits this partnership truly is 'The ONE'. The Sailing Club uses the lake to race on throughout the year and The Lakes Distillery pump the unique pure water from River Derwent into the distillery for the production of their multi award-winning spirits. The Lakes Distillery created a blended whisky when they first opened called The ONE. Exceptional whiskies from around the British Isles, each with their own distinctive characteristics, are brought together with great care, craft and passion to produce a British Isles blended whisky, The ONE. In 2019 The Lakes Distillery won The World's Best Vodka Award!

The regatta will see over 400 racers attend and spectators from up and down the country visit the area for the week-long event. Guests and competitors can enjoy Welcome Packs containing special offers with the Distillery's compliments worth £50 per person to enjoy relaxation, award winning tours and a culinary experience in our Michelin guide Bistro. Throughout the week there will be multiple events for all the family, including 9 days of competitive racing, Dragon Force racing, junior races, a children's party, yoga sessions and nightly varied entertainment incorporating live music evenings, quiz night, film night and a cocktail night using the ONE.

New for 2019 CraftInsure.com, our new marine sponsor have donated various goodies, entry fees are frozen at 2018 prices, youth sailors pay even less, benefiting from a new significantly reduced fee and clubs with 10 or more entries will be rewarded!
