mazu, a leading marine technology and satellite communications brand, announced today two exciting November promotions for its innovative app and satellite connectivity hardware—the Sportfishing app and mazu m2500 satellite hardware system.

Beginning November 1st and continuing throughout the entire month, users who download the SportFishing app for the Apple iPad will get a free year-long subscription, a value of $129.99. With the app, anglers get vital sea state and weather information, and powerful communications capabilities via satellite. An industry first, mazu SportFishing offers a unique method of in-app connectivity with its innovative mazuChat. Users can also quickly overlay SST satellite images or chlorophyll charts to easily find temperature breaks and to see water clarity.

mazu will also offer a week-long Black Friday promotion on its award-winning mazu m2500. Available from November 16th through the 26th, each m2500 purchased comes with a $150 credit on activation and service packages, and is eligible for further discounts from retailers and dealers. The mazu m2500 is a bundled package with everything required for a quick installation including an ISI-2000 communications hub, a compact IGT-2100 smart antenna with a 30-foot digital cable, and an illuminated keypad with message waiting indicator and SOS emergency buttons.

"We're offering anglers an opportunity to enjoy the mazu Sportfishing app and see firsthand why we believe it needs to be on every offshore fishing boat," said Craig Myers, director of product management, mazu. "From increased fishing success on the water to chat capabilities and rescue services, the Sportfishing app elevates the angling experience. When paired with the m2500, Sportfishing can reach its full potential with full-time access to satellite data."
