BRP, a world leader in powersports, announced today Evinrude professional angler Bryan Thrift won the Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) tournament held April 12-15, 2018 on Lake Cumberland, in Kentucky. Thrift, hailing from Shelby, North Carolina, earned his sixth FLW Tour win with 20 bass over four days weighing 70 pounds two ounces. This gave him the win by a one pound, 10-ounce margin over second place pro Allen Boyd and allowed him to take home the $125,000 prize. In addition to Thrift, the top seven anglers were all Evinrude pros, including: Boyd, Clent Davis, Greg Bohannan, Andy Morgan, Chris Johnston and Chris McCall. Thrift now leads the 2018 Angler of the Year standings.

"We at Evinrude are so proud of Bryan and all of our Evinrude anglers on their outstanding performance and Bryan's hard-won victory," said Tracy Crocker, senior vice president and general manager, Evinrude. "Team Evinrude anglers are all top-notch professionals whose dedication and hard work allow them time and again to dominate the field. To have the top seven anglers all running Evinrude engines is an incredible achievement. We are looking forward to the fierce competition and outstanding performances in the tournaments ahead and wish them all the best of luck."

The total purse for the FLW Tour at Lake Cumberland presented by General Tire was more than $930,000. The tournament was hosted by the Somerset Tourist and Convention Commission and the Burnside Tourism Commission. The next event for FLW Tour anglers will be the FLW Tour at Lewis Smith Lake presented by T-H Marine, held April 26-29 in Jasper, Alabama, hosted by the Walker County Chamber of Commerce.
