Clwb Hwylio Pwllheli Sailing Club, in conjunction with the Royal Dee Yacht Club and Plas Heli, is delighted to announce the entry process for the 2018 IRC Welsh National Championships is now open.

There are two incentives for early entry, including a prize draw for super early bird entry. The entry is via the championship website www.ircwelshchamps.com where further information can be found including the NOR

Racing is planned for four classes; IRC 1 and 2 fleets will sail Windward/Leeward and potentially 1 Coastal race, from committee boat starts.

IRC 3 fleet (sportsboats) will race around the PSC club marks using the fixed race courses and a PSC bridge start. IRC 4 is the cruiser class, who are planned one longer coastal race a day, using local marks.

We will be providing racing in the world-renowned sailing waters of Cardigan Bay with the majestic backdrop of the mountains of Snowdonia and the rugged coastline of the Llyn Peninsula.

Again this year, the events pontoons will be available for your use before and during the championship without any additional charges. Book your space now (this is on the entry form above)!

This year the camping facilities at the Academy will be available for your use - bring your campervan or caravan to set up your base camp right on the venue site. We will also have a limited number of bunk beds available - on a first come basis - details about this added facility will be circulated to entered boats first.

We will arrange shore storage for the event so that your delivery sails, life-rafts and associated gear can be stored for the duration of the Championships. Please indicate on the entry form if you would like shore storage

With great racing, plus the stunning views of Snowdonia and the beautiful Llyn Peninsula, Pwllheli is the place to be this August.
