The B14 fleet head to Datchet Water Sailing Club for the final event in their 2016 TT series. There is still all to play for with little to choose between the top 6. Blink and you will fall off the podium.
With bragging rights and great prizes on offer, competition will be fierce. Who will get the bragging rights between Harken (Nick Craig/Toby Lewis) and Team GUL/North Sails (Mark Barnes/Char Jones) as there was a fag paper separating these two at the recent Nationals will be a side event.
On top of that, there is the GUL end of season draw to be won. To take part you need to have attended at least one event in the series, and the more you attend the more entries you get. So who will win the weekend at the Watergate Hotel in Cornwall with surf or SUP lesson. Those that have partners may have some serious bargaining to do to get all on the trip. So if on the fence about travelling, make the effort, you might just win the star prize of the season.
With much happening in the class over the next 18 months and a new 4 event SW series, of which 2 are in the national TT series, and GUL's continued title sponsorship into 2017, things are looking good for the class with the Nationals at Whitstable (rated as one of the UK's to seaside towns) and Worlds at Beauty Point on Tasmania at the end of the year, would you want to miss out.
If looking for that buzz where you fly up and downwind with a big smile on your face without foiling, this is the class for you whether male or female. The class has a good mixed gender and the class spirit/inclusion and socials are leaders in the UK dinghy sailing world. See you there.
