by Ian Scott Bradley 16 Aug 2016 12:06 UTC 1-13 August 2016

Saturday 13th saw the last race of the Menai Straits Regatta's which was kindly sponsored by Hempel Paints. The Regatta Committee would like also thank Hempel and many other local businesses for their help in making it another successful year.

Again we had a fortnight's racing involving The Royal Welsh YC, Royal Dee YC, Royal Mersey YC, Royal Anglesey YC, Conway YC, West Kirby SC, Hoylake SC, Port Dinorwic YC, Menai Bridge Boat Club.

On some days we were lucky to have over 90 boats of various classes sailing courses on the famous Menai Straits.

Next year we are hoping we can see the return to our waters of the Wallasey Seabird half raters.
