One Metre Worlds at West Kirby Sailing Club - Update

The IOM World Championships are reaching a critical point at West Kirby. After 18 races the positions at the top are very close with the top five positions occupied by GBR skippers.

The IOM Worlds web site is the place to go for real time information and video footage of the racing. The web site has had over 130,000 hits during the week with the event being watched all over the world.

14 skippers enjoyed a steady Easterly Another great day of racing at Lincoln. 14 skippers arrived with a steady Easterly blowing, OODs Mick and Rob arrived early and the course was set on the South bank and was to be a perfect beat and run course that would certainly stretch our legs. One of those scary weather forecasts, but the bark was worse than the bite Lincoln's I.O.M. Winter series continued into 2025 with Round 7 of the series, and on a weekend that had weather warning all over the country, the club had some great racing. Posted on 6 Jan IOM Christmas Race at Birkenhead
Meaty gusts caused occasional loss of control downwind, but all very short lived It was good (and unusual!) to arrive at the club with a WNW breeze already blowing straight down the lake even at 8:00, with a forecast that it would remain that way and potentially increase during the day.
