Paisley Model Yacht Club was founded in 1865. Sailing from the pond in Barshaw Park in Paisley, there has been many different model sailing boats seen over the decades. Currently, there are 2 radio controlled classes that we sail. The popular one metre class and the very graceful 6 metre class.
Our members sail on Wednesday afternoon (leisurely) and on Sunday mornings (racing).
If you are thinking of either building your own boat or you would like to try out a boat then please feel free to come down and any of our members will be happy to chat with you or advise you about radio controlled yachting.
